I like pizza. For me, pizza is in top three favorite dishes, next to cabbage rolls and fries. Not necessarily together. There should be poems about pizza. I love it so much, that I can't abstain when someone eats it near me. I can resist other foods though: burgers, ribs, burrito, whatever it may be! But not pizza.
Vlad is at the opposite end. He eats it, but is not a fan and he never craves it. He feels like it's too much dough!!! I love dough, especially if it's a really good one. What I wanted to say, after this long introduction, is that I found out about a new pizza place: Pizza Mania.
"For me, pizza is in top three favorite dishes, next to cabbage rolls and fries. Not necessarily together."
So I went there also. When I reached the place, it was pretty empty. The restaurant is really beautiful, it reminded me instantly of Animaletto, which has bricks on the exterior. Here the bricks are in the interior. :) The rest was mostly wood, mirrors and dim lights. And speaking of discreet, the music was a little too loud and flashy.

For starters we got focaccia with butter and chives. It wasn't needed, because we got some crostini with sourdough dough that was on the house. Then I got a Margherita (small 29 lei/ large 36 lei), the ultimate test when it comes to pizza, and Vlad got a Diavola (small 29 lei/ large 36 lei). By the way, here they have numbers instead of names. Meaning that we got a Pizza One and Pizza Five. The dough is really tasty! I was already feeling full somewhere between crostini and focaccia, but I tried to eat from the pizza also. At least we got the small ones.
I compared it instantly to the one at Animaletto. It feels like it's about on the same level as that one. But the dough seems tastier. The sourdough works!
"The sourdough works!"
At the end we got a cannolo. And it's like they guessed my thoughts! We got a cannolo that was a bit "naked", they didn't roll it in pistachios nor added a candied cherry. Really good!
Pizza Mania enters my top favorite pizza places in Bucharest. It's such a joy when a new one appears in town! I love pizza so much I'd open a blog only about it, where we can talk about crusts, mozzarella cheeses or salsiccia. <3
I forgot to tell you how I tempted Alina, who was at the gym, near Victoria area. Poor her was training there and I was sending her pizza pictures meanwhile. In the end she caved in and joined. Nobody can resist it! Even as I'm looking over the article, I crave it. Oh you, pizza!
