Regarding my wish to expand my culinary horizons, here I am finally at Kunnai. Kunnai is a Thai cuisine restaurant around Piata Domenii. Once again, Alina was the one that pestered me into going because she likes the place very much. There it is, Alina, I went!
The decor is pretentiously fancy. So, not exactly the place where you feel at home. But it’s not like this is stopping me enjoy food. Next to the window facing outside was a window fountain to which I stared blankly from time to time. Pretty Zen.

This time I went out with Muși, Bianca and Dana Rogoz. Bianca and Muși are good friends with Dana since high school. So we get to cross our paths a few times a year. For those curious about Dana in her spare time, let me tell you this: she’s as friendly as you can imagine. Always smiling and with a story to share.
Bianca is also at her first appearance on unimpressedcelia, but you surely know her from Trend Challenge by Alist magazine: https://www.alistmagazine.ro/video-trend-challenge-half-is-free-si-ce-am-gasit-bun-acolo/
And now, after this long introduction, let us get to the food. I took a look at the menu at home so I knew for a long time what I wanted to eat: green curry with grilled chicken (45 lei). And I shared some vegan spring rolls (28 lei) with Bianca.
"There isn’t much to say about the spring rolls. They were good leaning on excellent."
I liked the green curry a lot, I mean a lot - except for the chicken. I know the chicken drumstick is tastier, but the pieces were too big and even had gristle. And there was no knife on the table so I couldn’t cut the chicken. I would’ve used chicken breast instead which, even if it’s drier, it is easier to eat. And I believe it would’ve been flavored enough. There is not much to say about the spring rolls. They were good leaning on excellent.
Meanwhile, we spoke a lot about food - especially about Lifebox - a discussion that happens more and more often since I have my blog, but we spoke about many other things as well.
What did not blow me away: the service. The waiters were not present enough at the table. After we ate, no one came to clean out the table for a looong time. That reminds me about the review on Sardin. Over there, the waiter was choking us with too much attention, here nothing. So I’m never happy.

I will go again to Kunnai. I want to try many more dishes from their menu. And I recommend it to you too. But, unfortunately, I’m not jumping to impressed.
